  1. Who can form an Australian company?
    Anybody can form an Australian company. You must however provide at least one director who is resident in Australia and a physical location (registered office address) for the business in Australia.

  2. Can I form a company with just one person?
    Yes you can. A proprietary company can have one director and one shareholder and these can be the same person.

  3. What is a company and how is it structured?
    A company is a legal entity made of up directors, secretaries and shareholders. A director is someone responsible for the day to day running of the company. A secretary is someone who is in charge of general company housekeeping duties such as making sure returns are filed on time, notifying when addresses change etc. A shareholder is someone who owns the company through holding shares.

  4. What information do I need to supply?
    Our questionnaire will ask you a range of questions. It will ask you for the name of your new company, the names and addresses of people involved (directors, secretaries, shareholders) and the official address for the company. If you find you don't have the information at hand while you're forming the company, then you can save your progress and return to it later.

  5. Do I need to provide identification?
    No, we do not require any identification from you.

  6. Will I need to sign anything?
    Yes. Once the questionnaire is complete we'll give you some documents to be signed. These documents are for each director, secretary and shareholder of the company. You'll need to print these documents off and have them signed by the appropriate people. You do not need to post or lodge these documents anywhere. They are for you to keep with the records of the company.

  7. How much does it cost?

  8. What happens if I make a mistake in the questionnaire?
    This is OK. You can constantly review the information you provide us and if there are any errors, you can correct them very easily.

  9. What methods of payment do you accept?
    We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, internet banking and cheque.

  10. How long does the whole process take?
    It will take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete our questionnaire (depending on the information you supply us). It will then take roughly 10 minutes for us lodge the company for incorporation. This can take longer if there are any problems or discripencies with the information.

  11. What do I receive when everything is complete?
    You will receive the official Certificate of Registration from the government via email and on our website. You will also receive the ACN (Australian Company Number). The Certificate will come in .PDF format (Adobe Acrobat).

  12. Do I need to post anything off or lodge anything by hand?
    No. Our electronic system means you can form your company right from your own computer.

  13. Do you provide legal advice or advice about running my company?
    Unfortunately not. We are solely a company formation website and do not advise our customers about the advantages & disadvantages of the company structure. We do however have some general information in our resources section where you can learn more about companies.

  14. Who should use this website?
    This website can be used by anybody who wishes to form an Australian company. Accountants, solicitors and formation agents will find great value in being able to quickly incorporate companies at the push of a button. The general public will also find great convenience in being able to form their companies online, anytime.

  15. What times of day can I use this website to form a company?
    You can use this website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  16. What is your refund policy?
    Due to the nature of our product, we can only provide refunds in exceptional circumstances. If you wish to receive a refund, you must apply to us either by post or email stating in full the reasons for the refund. Refunds are given at our discretion.
